Maria Brink

 Maria Brink, born December 18 1977 was an American singer-songwriter from the United States. She is best known for being the frontwoman of In This Moment. In This Moment has released seven studio albums, receiving four nominations, two from Alternative Press Music Awards and one from Grammy Awards. Brink is also known as the "Rock Goddess of the Year", "Hottest Female in Metal" in 2010, and one of the 11 women who matter in heavy metal as reported by Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the Top 25 Hot Chicks In Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. In 2002, she was 25, she moved to Los Angeles to find a band to work with Before finding a band, she worked in shops, and also sang in cafes and bars. She met Chris Howorth, now a member of the group, at an audition in 2004. Howorth initially turned down Brink because she was female. Howorth apologized two weeks later and then hired Brink to be his singer. They formed the group Dying Star with drummer Jeff Fabb .They were later joined by guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. They soon changed their name to In This Moment
